CHANGE OF DATE FOR 2010

We are changing the date that Hunter ReachOut is held. It is now out of the soccer season!

In 2010 it will be held on OCTOBER 16. Put it in your diary and get it into your church's diary.

Hunter ReachOut is an annual 'missions festival' held in Newcastle that gives the opportunity to local churches and Christians to come together and focus on obeying Jesus’ command to take his good news to the whole world. In 2010 Islington Baptist Church is hosting the event.

Hunter ReachOut offers interactive seminars, conversations with people directly involved in cross cultural Christian mission, and gatherings where people share from their experience. Most of all the festival focusses on looking into the Bible to understand what the Lord himself is saying to us about the awesome task he has given us.

Representatives of the major evangelical missions, together with local mission initiatives, and the cooperative efforts of local churches come together to give you a day to explore the options to find out where you best fit in to play your role in giving people all over the world the chance to hear meaningfully the message of Jesus.

Our keynote speaker for 2010 is David Cook. We are adding the names of those leading interactive workshops to the 'Speakers' list as they come to us.

9:30am -	Introductory Meeting - We start off together with this short meeting....
9:50am -	Seminar/ workshop Session 1. Check out the seminars page to see the choices in this hour.
10:50am -	Break. Have some morning tea and visit the displays...
11:20pm -	Seminar/ workshop Session 2. Check the Seminars page to see seminars on offer...
12.20pm -	Lunch and Displays. Sandwiches are for sale .....
1.15pm -	Main Meeting 1. Music, interviews, Bible teaching by David Cook...
2.40pm -	Seminar/ workshop Sesssion 3 Check the Seminars page to see seminars on offer...
3.40pm -	Break. You only have 20 minutes this time..
4.00pm -	Main Meeting 2. More music, interviews, DVD and David Cook's second Bible talk.
5.30pm -	Displays. The displays will still be open for a little while.

David Cook

David Cook is Principal of Sydney Missionary and Bible College (SMBC) and Director of the SMBC School of Preaching. He is a regular speaker at Christian conventions throughout Australia and overseas and lectures in preaching and pastoral subjects at SMBC. David has authored and contributed to several books on preaching. He is married to Maxine and they have five adult children and eleven grandchildren. His interests include good coffee, rugby (both kinds) and cricket.

Ruth Pickering

Ruth has worked in church planting in Asia and as a mission mobiliser in Australia.

Robyn Lanham

After 19 years in Japan, serving with WEC International, Robyn now prepares others for cross-cultural service.
