CHANGE OF DATE FOR 2010

We are changing the date that Hunter ReachOut is held. It is now out of the soccer season!

In 2010 it will be held on OCTOBER 16. Put it in your diary and get it into your church's diary.

Hunter ReachOut is an annual 'missions festival' held in Newcastle that gives the opportunity to local churches and Christians to come together and focus on obeying Jesus’ command to take his good news to the whole world. In 2010 Islington Baptist Church is hosting the event.

Hunter ReachOut offers interactive seminars, conversations with people directly involved in cross cultural Christian mission, and gatherings where people share from their experience. Most of all the festival focusses on looking into the Bible to understand what the Lord himself is saying to us about the awesome task he has given us.

Representatives of the major evangelical missions, together with local mission initiatives, and the cooperative efforts of local churches come together to give you a day to explore the options to find out where you best fit in to play your role in giving people all over the world the chance to hear meaningfully the message of Jesus.

Our keynote speaker for 2010 is David Cook. All the other seminar leaders listed as speakers are from the 2009 event. Visit us again later in 2010 to see the new speakers and seminars.

9:00am -	Registration - This program may change in 2010. This one from 2009 will give you a general idea: Register at the entrance to the church.
9:30am -	Main Meeting 1- Our first main meeting includes singing, interviews and Bible teaching....
10:45am -	Break. Get a cuppa and visit the displays
11:15am -	Seminar 1. See the Seminars page for the choices you have in this time slot.
12:00pm -	Seminar 2. Check the Seminars page to see seminars on offer...
12.40pm -	Lunch. Sandwiches are for sale .....
1.30pm -	Afternoon session
1.50pm -	Seminar 3
2.40pm -	Seminar 4.
3.20pm -	Break.
3.50pm -	Main Meeting 2. Singing, interviews, and another Bible teaching session with Bruce Dipple.
5.20pm -	Displays. The formal part of Hunter ReachOut is over but displays will still be open for 30 minutes...

David Cook

David is the Principal of the Sydney Missionary and Bible College and has been since 1986. David is married to Maxine. They have 5 adult children and 4 grandchildren. David's interests include his family, cricket, rugby league and union, good books and good coffee.

James Toose

James' job is to resource and mentor churches in the western and Newcastle regions in their awareness and support of global mission.

David Zheng

David, born in Mainland China, has been a pastor and broadcaster. He still produces programs from his Sydney studio.
